New City Network is offering an 8-week, online church planting residency experience this spring! This residency is open to aspiring planters and re-planters of any age and in any stage who are sensing a call to reach people through church planting. Virtual sessions will be facilitated by pastor and experienced church planter Clint Clifton of the North American Mission Board.
During the residency, potential planters will focus on developing the core competencies of planting a church, including refining a strategic and contextualized vision of planting a local church, working to develop communication strategies for casting the vision, engaging in active fundraising and partner development, and developing a strong core team that will endeavor to maintain the long term health and vitality of the church.
We will focus on these ten important steps, or “thresholds,” that are essential for successful church planting:
The ideal candidate will have (1) a vibrant personal walk with the Lord, (2) be a man of demonstrated godly character, (3) have a strong calling to the work of church planting, (4) a passion for reaching the unchurched and de-churched, (5) a strong marriage and family life, (6) demonstrated success in leading and building ministries, (7) a gifted communicator, (8) an entrepreneurial aptitude and a track record of starting ministries and/or businesses from scratch, (9) theological clarity and alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, (10) a kingdom mindset that will seek the welfare of the greater movement of church planting in the city, (11) a desire for multiplication and to plant a church-planting church.
You can apply for his program by completing this short APPLICATION. Please note that you will need a recommendation from a pastor from your local church in order to be considered.
If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: Planters will not enter into any formal relationship with New City Network or the North American Mission Board by participating in this residency experience.
