James and Danielle both worked at McLean Bible Church for 7 years in full-time children’s ministry. More recently, they have partnered with New City Network to develop a “How to Start a Children’s Ministry” curriculum, designed to help new churches launch vibrant and healthy children’s ministries. Because of their experience working in a wide variety of church settings and starting ministries from the ground up, they provide consulting services for church plants who are looking for extra guidance as they prepare to launch or revitalize their kids’ ministries. The Whitleys are also parents to five young kids, so discipling children is especially close to their heart on a daily basis.
As a result of the pandemic, they have been creating weekly content to help connect and keep their own church’s kids engaged with the Bible. These are unprecedented times, and they didn’t want to miss the opportunity that VBS provides to connect neighbors and families with the Word of God this summer – and the opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to join in on the fun!
