On average, 8,000 churches close their doors each year while only about 3,500 new churches begin. New City Church Planting’s programs help increase the “birthrate” of new churches as well as decrease the “deathrate” of struggling churches. Studies show new church plants are usually more effective at reaching the lost: 42% of members at successful church plants were previously unchurched.
